Action Learning Sets Trial Group

Cherie Woolmer noted at the Tools Trials Planning Meeting that she and several others would be attending an Action Learning Sets training the following day, and was interested in investigating whether anything SHEEN Sharing was doing would be able to facilitate this approach.

Who will be lead?

What level of time commitment can you make?
TBC after attending training and speaking with others.

Possible membership
Within ECN: People in Cherie’s “set” only at first – if willing.
Outwith ECN: None.

What skills do you already have in your group?
Cherie has some skills with blogging, bookmarking, Twitter and other tools.

What tasks do you need to perform?
Internal communications: Closed discussion group only
External dissemination: None (possibly reflections on how technology is being used via blog?)
Collaborative tasks, e.g. resource development: Mutual support

What tools are appropriate/would you like to trial?
Google Groups?

What support is needed from SHEEN Sharing?
Sarah to help think through and set up.

  2. I think this is a great idea – it would help supplement the face to face meetings – did we agree that they would be Edinburgh and Glasgow initially? There is nothing better than face to face but it might be an interesting way to begin interactions, or update on progress after the meetings.

    I do not have many skills in any of the tools but that is the point of Sheenshare really isn’t it?

  3. Update post Sarah’s meeting with Cherie last Friday (24th April 09) – Sets haven’t quite got going yet; Cherie will investigate getting started and when we might be able to come in with some support for them.
